Site Facilities

Toilet block

The toilet block, which is centrally located on our site, has ample toilets, washbasins and electric showers for both men and women.
Showers require old 10p pieces (florins or two bob bits will do), which can be purchased from the site warden.
For added security a key is required for access to both the mens and womens facilities.

Laundry room

The laundry room is located within the site's toilet block and is similarly accessed by key only.
Two large Belfast sinks are provided for the washing of clothes only. 10 minutes of hot water can be purchased for 20p. A metered electric socket provides electricity for 10p, which can be used for irons, the spin dryer, or other personal electrical items.

Mains electricity

The option is available for all berths to connect to mains electricity.
A standing charge, plus unit costs are billed quarterly to members.

Mains water

There are five mains water taps; located on the outside of the toilet block, and at intervals along the length of the caravan site.

Rubbish collection

Rubbish bins are located throughout the site and are emptied on a regular basis by the site warden.

Chemical & waste water disposal

Chemical toilet waste and waste water can be emptied at the chemical waste point provided in the toilet block car park.

Car parking

The caravan site has two car parks, one outside the toilet block and one at the main entrance. Parking between caravans is prohibited.

House foyer

A 'Defect' book is kept in the foyer of the warden's house for members to record any defects found on the site i.e. dripping taps, blown light bulbs etc.
The 'Guest Registration' book is also located in the Foyer, for the signing in of member's guests.
Those in search of the warden (for old 10p pieces, gas bottle sales etc.) may ring the house doorbell in the foyer if the warden can not be found on the site.

Fire points

Fire points are located throughout the site, providing fire buckets and hose reels for emergency use, as well as fire bells, which are rung in the event of fire. Emergency services may be summoned using the telephone in the house foyer.

Gas bottles

Calor gas bottles can be purchased on site from the warden at a cost of £19.00 (Red - Propane), £18.00 (Blue Butane) - prices correct 01/07/2007.

Site roadway

A one-way system is in operation during daylight hours and must be observed. Overnight, and generally when security floodlights are lit, the western gate will be locked and two way traffic is permitted. A 5 mph speed limit (walking pace) is in place throughout the site for the safety and security of all, especially the young and old. Carparks are provided and shall be used as a condition of our site licence and rules.
